Jätkan eelmist teemat ja püüan rääkida võidusõidust. See, et võisteldakse pea kõigega, millel rattad, ei ole mingi üllatus. Püüan välja tuua kaalukamad. Formel 1 on pea alati olnud teistest pisut tähtsam, see on kardi ja vormelisõitjate unistus. Pisiasi, et sellel alal liiguvad meeletud summad ja et formel 1 on tõusnud tõsiseks tööstusharuks, millest tulenevad teadmised kanduvad edasi tänavaautodele. F1 tüüpi käigukast on kahjuks viimase aja hirmsamaid asju, mis sel moel liikvele on pääsend. Samas veojõukontroll on vägagi levinud. Formel 1 sai alguse Grand Prix Motor Racing võistlusest Euroopas. Esimene etapp ( Grands Prix ) toimus aastal 1950 Silverstone ringrajal ja selle võitis itaalane Guiseppe Nino Farina Alfa Romeol. Formeli algusaastad toovad yhe nime, mida tasuks meeles pidada-aastatel 1951-57 võitis Juan Manuel Fangio (Argentiina) viis etappi, temast rohkem on võitnud ainult üks mees aga temast hiljem. Tollel ajal domineerisid F1-s Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz ja Maserati. Maseratit ja Alfat me tänapäeval F1 enam ei näe. Tollel ajal kasutas F1 esimootorit ja peeneid rehve. Alates 60.ndatest kolis mootor keskele. Tol ajal polnud eriti imestada kui F1 tegid kaasa suvalised tegelased, suvaliste masinatega, edu saatis siiski suurfirmasid, kel oli raha auto arendusse panna. 63-78 oli F1 tegija Lotus, kes tõi formelite juurde sponsorrahad, kelleta tänapäeva F1 ette ei kujuta ja monogok kere, varasemad formelid olid sisuliselt raamile ehitatud. Seitsmekümnendatel omandas F1 komertsõigused Bernie Ecclestone. Enne seda kotrollisid seda äri ringraja omanikud. Ecclestone muutis formelimaailma kiiresti miljardiäriks. Samal ajal arenesid F1 masinad omasoodu ja jõudsid varsti oma absoluutse võimsuse tippu-820 kW saavutati Porsche-Mclareni koostöös turbomootoriga, ilmselgelt oli seda liiga palju ja 1989 "tappis" FIA turbo. Areng aga ei peatunud ja liikus aina edasi, FIA tegi mis suutis, et tehnoloogia mõju vähendada, mingil määral oli neil kahtlemata õigus, sest iga aastal võitis sõidu masin, mis ületas teisi tehnikaga. 1994 San Marino Grand Prix sõitis Aeton Senna Tamburello kurvis välja ja hukkus. Tähelepanuväärseim ehk kitsamate revide kasutusele võtmine(alates algusaastatest olid rehvid kordades laienenud), kitsam rehv ei taga nii suurt haarduvust ja ei võimalda nii kiiresti kiirust koguda.
McLaren, Williams, Renault (endine Benetton) ja Ferrari on alates aastast 1984 võitnud kõik F1 meistritiitlid. Michael Schumacher koguni 7 tiitlit, neist 5 Ferrariga. Paraku mõjus see F1 populaarusele laastavalt. Teada on, et üks meeskond on alati olnud võrdsem kui teised-Ferrari. Schumacher püstitas pea kõik võimalikud rekordid, mis Formel 1 võimalik. FIA on kyll üritanud erinevate muudatustega võistlusi põnevamaks muuta aga tulemused pole olnud nii head kui sooviti. Formel 1 on võistelnud ka Maailmameistrivõistluste väliselt. 1960 - 1975 toimusid eraldiseisvad Formeli võistlused Lõuna Aafrika Vabariigis. Nende tase maailmaga siiski võrrelda ei anna. Ka Suurbritannias toimusid 1978-1980 omad F1 võistlused. Sealt on pärit ka ainuke naisvõitja F1 ajaloos-Desiré Wilson.
15 märts algab kõik uuesti ja otsast peale, järjekorras 58 Formel 1 maailmameistri võistlused. Loodame, et tuleb huvitav aasta.

Iseenesest suhteliselt hea lühike kiire põgus ülevaade F1-st, kuid ülejäänud kirjavigade seast tahaks tõsta esile, et vormel kirjutatakse eesti keeles siiski 'v' tähega mitte 'f'-ga. Samuti Senna eesnimi on siiski Ayrton. Ning 2008. aasta hooaeg oli järjekorras 59.
